ABOUT ME
I am God’s beloved son. I am Megan’s husband, and she my best friend and life partner. I am Benton, Malia and Kensley’s dad. I am the result of loving parents, local church parents growing up, incessant prayers submitted on my behalf and a network of amazing friends too many to adequately name here. I am an overcomer of a 35-year pornography addiction that has brought me to this place in life. I am blessed beyond blessed, rid of guilt and shame because of the Father in Heaven’s unreasonable and illogical Grace and Mercy given on that horrid cross at Golgotha. Our Father in Heaven radically loves me so much that he has placed our family in a paradise called East Tennessee, where we live surrounded by his beauty and exceptional people.
I have been blessed to live and experience many seasons of life. Each Season trying its best to define me. I surrendered my life and identity in February 2006 on the 42nd floor of that apartment in NYC. My identity is in Christ. My love includes my family and friends. My passions include hunting and fishing and just about anything outdoors. My purpose continues to be revealed and defined by my Father in Heaven.
God has allowed me to walk so many different paths, littered with failures and successes. Each Season contributing to a life of experiences that brought me back his feet and a recognition of the immeasurable hope, life and joy that is Jesus Christ. Today, my Heavenly Father allows me to work with men in all walks of life from those leading churches and secular organizations in marvelous ways, to men committed and striving to live a life of leadership for their families to those struggling with the effects of lives rerouted due to drug, alcohol and pornography addiction.
Over the past 30+ years I have been a part of the development and or creation of sixteen different secular businesses and organizations. Some magnificent failures and a few beautiful successes. I have served on church Trustee and Leadership teams as well as consulted with churches on areas such as structure, budgets, building programs, growth, discipleship and currently lead several Men’s small groups. All teaching, training, building me into who God says that I am. His son. Today my assignment is to walk alongside men. To work with organizations by help them define who they are and develop go-forward strategies. To write. To speak. To encourage. To walk alongside those that God places in my path in whatever manner they may need.
