“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35 NIV

“First off I really want to thank you and your family a whole lot. I never thought a family would ever trust a person of my caliber especially a Caucasian family lol. Seriously I enjoyed myself. I missed 12 birthdays 12 Christmases 12 Thanksgivings 12 easters and a whole lot of more in prison. I forgot how to celebrate birthdays among other things. I can truly say you and your family has changed my outlook on life tremendously. I was looking for help but I found a family friends brothers and little sisters. I woke up today feeling different in a good way. Yesterday crushed any doubts in my mind about wanting to be better and I really see and feel that spiritual change in me thank you and your family so much. I am trying not to cry but I never ever experienced love like this since the death of my mother from my family let alone others outside I never thought it was possible. I truly love yall 💗”

A Fight Club Men Leader’s House resident sent this text message to Megan Mullins and me this afternoon. We celebrated his birthday yesterday and laughed, cried and praised our Father in Heaven for Grace and Mercy.

Had you told Megan and I a few short years ago that God would be rewarding us with the privilege and honor of walking alongside men coming out of the bondage and brokenness of addiction and into the lives of purpose and impact that they are experiencing, we would have prayed for you and your delusional visions.

God is so good, isn’t He? He merged a broken Myron Mullins with a broken Megan West and now almost 20 years later uses our life experiences of failure and complete desperation to deliver love, hope, expectation and the Father’s inexhaustible love. God is so good, isn’t He?

In this Easter Season where love was exhibited in ways no human could imagine, show love. Be love. Live love. Extend love.

“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12 NLT

So this upcoming Palm Sunday, I have the unbelievable privilege to baptize my brother in Christ who wrote this beautiful note. Who teaches me daily. Who builds within me gratitude for the life God has gifted me. This Sunday, I baptize God’s son, in whom He is well pleased. What a privilege.

God is so good, isn’t He?
